Children Collide

Back to homepage
The clanging punk-infused indie rock of Children Collide was born from the partnership of guitarist/vocalist Johnny Mackey and bassist Heath Crawley; the group later also included a drummer named Ryan. Emerging out of the Melbourne pub scene, their melodic yet abrasive sound sometimes garnered Children Collide comparisons to American rock heroes Sonic Youth and Nirvana. The three-piece released the six-song EP We Three, Brave and True in 2005, followed late the next year by the Glass Mountain Liars EP on Australia’s Flying Nun Records. Returning with a post-punk charge and the unmistakable trademarks of Children Collide, the Australian music axis shifts with the arrival of their fourth studio album Aurora.
